New SODA Event Coming!

We have a New SODA event coming this Sunday March 29th!!
Stay tuned for more information!!

SODA Event Cancellations

Unfortunately we're going to have to cancel this year's SODA Easter Egg Hunt. I was hoping to come up with some kind of modified version, but with the Governor's stay at home order now lasting until at least April 13th, this is not possible. We are also canceling our April 2nd SODA meeting and will keep you posted as to the status of our May meeting and Spring meetup. With the hope that our current situation passes sooner than later, we're still planning some fun activities for this summer and our Track or Treat in the fall.

I encourage you to visit our Facebook Group and share positive messages about our neighborhood and neighbors. Give your neighbors a friendly wave while out for a walk, help those in need when safely possible, and appreciate time with family.

I looking forward to serving our neighborhood in any way possible and continuing to put on the best community events in the city when this is over.

EF Chromebook Distribution

Edsel Ford Families:

Edsel Ford High School will be begin loaning out Chromebooks for Edsel Ford students remote learning needs tomorrow -- Thursday, March 19, 2020 from 10am - 2pm

We will be located at the teacher's entrance sliding doors off of Pelham Road
Here is the plan for the handout:

• To get a Chromebook you must be an Edsel Ford Parent or student that is 18 years of age (ID will be checked) Please have ID ready 
• Please enter off the Pelham Road entrance - Chromebooks will only be handed out at the Teachers Sliding Door entrance- There will be signs (Please keep in mind that the Food Distribution will be going on as well behind the cafeteria between 10am - 12noon)
• We anticipate handing out hundreds of Chromebooks - please be patient while waiting 
• Parent or 18 year old student will receive 1 Chromebook per family
• Parent or 18 year old must fill out two copies of a Parent Acknowledgement  Sheet
• Edsel staff will verify your ID and Info
• Parent or 18 year old student will receive 1 Chromebook and a copy of the Parent Acknowledgement Sheet as you prepare to exit
• Edsel staff will collect 1 copy of the signed Parent Acknowledgement
• After receiving your Chromebook, we must ask everyone to exit to avoid violating the 10 person crowd rule and keep the line moving+++++

The only requirement for winning is attending the association meeting. For the Member Raffle we pull names from the entire Regular Member list until we pull the name of a paid regular member in attendance. For the Attendance Raffle we draw names of anyone that signed in when attending the meeting. You must be present to win.
