UPDATE to Special Meeting on July 8th

Important news per Regan Ford.

We will meet at the Penn Vassar Park pavilion at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8th to discuss the basketball hoops. We are NOT voting but we are discussing the hoop issue. We found out that we have additional time so we will vote at our September meeting (it will be announced when we have a date). In the meantime, all residents are encouraged to join in the discussion on Wednesday, send letters to the Dearborn Recreation Commission and Greg Orner. A good number of members and residents who read the Facebook page stated that they would be out of town on vacation this week and we decided that we would like to allow additional time to gather opinions and reach out to the residents who live by the park and residents who would like to express their opinions.Thank you for your interest.

Special Meeting July 8th

Important Neighborhood News regarding Penn Vassar Park basketball hoops.
Do you have an opinion as to whether the basketball nets should be replaced or stay permanently removed from Penn Vassar Park? We are meeting on Wednesday, July 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Penn Vassar pavilion to discuss this. (Meeting should only be about 15 minutes). This is a great time to join S.O.D.A. and have your voice count. Membership applications will be available at the meeting. Dues are $15.00 a year. Residents who do not wish to become a member are encouraged to voice your opinion by sending a letter to the Dearborn Recreation Commission and Mr. Greg Orner.
We will also discuss problems at the basketball courts at Summer-Stephens, Oxford Park, and Shemansky Park which also reside in our boundaries.
