SODA Neighborhood Garage Sale - Neighborhood wide
Host your own garage sale at your residence along with other neighbors in the neighborhood. SODA advertises your sale location on social media, through yard sale app, and with Michigan's Longest Garage Sale (City garage sale permit required)
August 11th - 13th, 2023

SODA Sale Trail - Penn-Vassar Park
Reserve your spot along the track at Penn-Vassar Park to sell your garage sale items, craft items, or pop-up business. Free reservation and No garage sale permit required!
August 12th, 2023

Residents are responsible for getting their own garage sale permit from the City if having a sale at their residence. (No permit is required if participating in just the SODA Sale Trail event)

The cost is $10 for the first permit,  $15 for the second, $20 for the third and $25 for the fourth within the same calendar year.  

The association will advertise the event, make a map of the garage sale addresses, and sale locations will be available via the smartphone app Yard Sale Treasure Map. The sales will also be published on as part of Michigan's Longest Garage Sale

Just a reminder that per our association bylaws SODA does not participate in political activity. 

Any person or group making political claims involving SODA's name does not have endorsement from the association. To do so would violate our bylaws and jeopardize our non-profit status.

SODA Easter Egg Hunt 2023


8th Annual SODA Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday April 8th, 2023
12:00 pm at Penn-Vassar Park

"The Fastest 5 Minutes In Dearborn"

All Dearborn neighbors are welcome!

Bring your baskets or a bag to carry your found eggs. Find a "Special" Egg and win an Easter Basket or special prize. Each egg will have a small prize or edible treat inside. The hunt will be divided into age groups. Ages 0-12.

Be on time! Hunt will start promptly at 12:05 pm.

The Easter Egg Hunt committee is currently accepting donations. Candy, prizes, etc.

City of Dearborn To Distribute Free Dry Ice - Feb 24, 2023

City of Dearborn to distribute free dry ice for residents affected by ice storm on Friday, Feb. 24

The City of Dearborn will once again be distributing free dry ice today, Friday, Feb. 24 from 2 to 8 p.m. in the Henry Ford Centennial Parking lot, in a spot accessed only from Reckinger Road. Enter Reckinger from Greenfield. This is the road that travels behind the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center.

Follow it all the way to the library parking lot.

Bring ID showing Dearborn residency, and distribution is limited to one unit per household. Bring a cooler or zipped bag for the safe transport of ice. It is important to transport dry ice in a closed container.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has provided guidance for preserving food before, during, and after a power outage.

UPDATED: Warming center information

The City of Dearborn continues to have several warming centers throughout the city where residents can shelter in heated indoor spaces. The new locations for Friday, Feb. 24 are at the Centennial Library, The Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, and the Melvindale Ice Arena. All warming centers are open during regular business hours, with the exception of the Police Department lobby, which is open 24/7.
